Mark was born and raised in Cornwall and he knew from an early age that he wanted to work creatively with the abundance of fresh, locally grown and wild produce available in his home county. At 19 he went to work for Rick Stein, where he was privileged to cook with unusual and high quality ingredients, discovering how to match flavours together and create amazing, memorable dishes. 

He now shares his love of food and the culinary arts with private event clients and their guests, as well as with cookery enthusiasts and vocational student chefs through his classes.

Mark can usually be found foraging by the beach with his two children and sheepdog, Jimmy.
